A high-level bilateral meeting between the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture of Guinea and Sri Lanka’s Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation, Hon. K.D. Lalkantha, was held on 22 July 2026 at the Ministry of Agriculture in Colombo, marking an important step toward strengthening agricultural cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was arranged and facilitated by Dr. Anuruddha Shanaka, Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Guinea, as part of ongoing efforts to promote diplomatic and technical collaboration between Sri Lanka and West African nations.
